Overview:
We are seeking an energized individual to join our team as a versatile technical surveillance systems maintenance apprentice! This role is unique in that it combines on-the-ground technical troubleshooting with the physical maintenance of our clients' external environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for both technical security support and the management of site conditions to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Additionally, this position provides an opportunity for individuals to learn from the best tenured security professionals in the industry.
Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:
- Security Hardware:
- Perform routine physical maintenance and updates on security equipment; i.e., clean lenses, remove debris, etc.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of hardware components.
- Troubleshoot external components of equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Environmental Maintenance:
- Clear foliage and maintain the surroundings of outdoor IT equipment to ensure access and proper ventilation.
- Regularly inspect and clear debris from around hardware installations to prevent damage and overheating.
- Coordinate with integration management for larger maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Customer Support:
- Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing client concerns promptly and professionally with guidance from leadership.
- Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on hardware to minimize downtime.
- Implement and follow maintenance schedules for both equipment and environmental upkeep.
- Identify potential issues before they become critical problems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; current students in a technical trade school are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of technology, infrastructure, and configuration.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including clearing foliage and managing environmental conditions around IT installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
- Utmost confidentiality required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to scale ladders frequently.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and performing physical tasks related to environmental maintenance.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions.

Compensation is targeted at $22 hourly based on experience and certifications.
