Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and dependable Executive Protection Specialist to provide secure transportation and personal protection for the CEO of a client organization. This position requires someone who can serve as both a skilled driver and a trusted protector, maintaining strict confidentiality and providing seamless support wherever the client may need to go. The ideal candidate will have a strong executive protection background and be ready to travel on short notice as needed. The hours will be full-time, standard business hours with flexibility for occasional travel, both domestic and international.
Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:
Supervision of Security Team:
- Lead and manage a team of security officers, overseeing daily tasks and ensuring adherence to security protocols.
- Schedule shifts and monitor attendance, promptly addressing gaps in coverage due to absences or call-offs.
- Cover shifts personally when necessary to ensure the building always maintains adequate security staffing.
- Provide mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations to support team development and uphold high performance standards.
- Ensure security policies and protocols are consistently applied.
- Investigate and document security incidents, prepare detailed reports for management and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.
Emergency Preparedness and Response:
- Serve as the first point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating the security team’s response and providing clear instructions.
- Identify potential security risks and implement preventative measures to minimize vulnerabilities in the facility.
Collaboration with Management and Stakeholders:
- Act as a liaison between security staff, building management, and other departments, maintaining clear and effective communication.
- Attending regular internal meetings, providing updates on security issues, incidents, and trends.
Policy Compliance:
- Conduct regular audits of security procedures, equipment, and incident reports to ensure compliance.
Client Travel and Executive Protection:
- Act as a security driver for the client, providing safe and secure transportation during business hours to various locations, including the office, events, and other destinations as directed.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with all local vehicle safety regulations.
- Plan routes to avoid traffic and ensure timely arrival, utilizing knowledge of alternate routes and traffic conditions.
- Ensure all travel arrangements prioritize the safety, comfort, and discretion of the client.
- Maintain the highest levels of reliability and punctuality, ensuring consistent attendance without disruptions.
- Handle confidential information discreetly, adhering to all NDA requirements and maintaining complete confidentiality.
- Be prepared to travel with the client on short notice, including both domestic and international locations.
- Coordinate closely with the client’s team to plan for secure arrivals, departures, and itineraries as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training in security management or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Training: Level 3 or 4 Texas security certification and in the TOPS system.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Basic knowledge of security systems, such as CCTV and alarm systems, is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs may occur.
- Capability to respond quickly in emergencies, including running, jumping, and navigating stairs or multiple floors.
Driving Record:
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Defensive and evasive driving course training preferred.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, day/evening/night
- Compensation: Salary of $80,000 annually depending on experience.
